Nothing ever comes easy for this team. If Scatchard misses time that
just about finishes any hope for this team to even make a dent if
they do qualify.
Not even sure they will qualify. Expecting Buffalo to lose to Colubus
(winning streak and all) is not realitic.
They did not lose badly or even play poorly, it was a lot like the
Carolina game aside from the fact the Devils are a good skating team
and put the clamps down in the third after Parrish scored.
Isles did not get the break on the video-replay but it was over the
line. They did get a break on Scatchard's shorthanded goal because
Brodeur should have stopped it.
When you look at all the players who are in big scoring slumps for
this team and decide Yashin is the player to be demoted to a fourth
line, it makes me wonder why? Long-term without Yashin this team is
not going to win.
Scatchard, Hunter, Czerkawski, Asham, Papineau, Weinhandl, Peca. None
of these players are scoring much.
If I'm coach I lose down with Yashin as my top center. He scored last
week against Washington, he was not the only player who did not do
much against Carolina.
His line with Webb and Papineau had a great shift in the first, but
to leave him on that line and not use him for other players not
scoring is just not the answer.
Not much else to say, it's not like they were run out of the building
by the Devils. They lost 3-2.
It's going to be a long bitter summer if they cannot close this thing
out and make the playoffs.
