Centum Gratia: MGOCSM Celebrates The Patron�s Day
MGOCSM, the oldest Student Spiritual Organization in Asia, has celebrated its Patron�s day at Parumala on 3 November in connection with the Parumala Perunnal. The pilgrim town of Parumala has witnessed sea of humanity as thousands of believers congregated at the tomb of St. Gregorios. Pilgrims, drawn from different religions and denominations, undertook long and tedious pilgrim journeys to the tomb of their hallowed Saint. For the last seven days the Parumala town and the Seminay wore a solemn and august look with the chanting of prayers from all around including the 168 hours of unceasing prayers and vigil under the auspices of the Orthodox Youth Movement.
The MGOCSM meeting was inaugurated by H.B. Paulose Mar Milithios presided over by H.G. Paulose Mar Pachomios. Sri. C. K. Koshy IAS, son of Sri. C. K. Kochukoshy IAS, offered the key-note address. The programme scheduling for the remaining 53 days prior to the D_Day was declared at the meeting. The meeting also felicitated the rank holders from different Universities in different subjects. Honours went to Pinchu Elizabeth Thomas, Jisha Babu, Ansu P.John, Anu Mathew, Fergy John, Nithu Susan Babu, and Milu Mary.
It was particularly auspicious that a Sports prodigy from our Church � Ansu Mariam Jose from Kannur- was the star of the day who received felicitations. Ansu is a shining star in the track and field competitions, so much so that she has won gold medals in the just concluded Commonwealth games in Pune. She has also come first in the 200m race for the under 18, and a member of the team that raced first in the 4x100m relay in the Kerala State athletics championships held yesterday (2 Nov.) It was proud moment for the Church and MGOCSM.

John Mathew Koodarathil, Kumari Ansu Paulos, Kumari. Anu Mariam Jose, Sri. Binu K. Sam and Sri. Koshy Mathew spoke on the occasion.
KSRTC connects Pilgrim Centres.
Parumala Thirumen�s 106 Feast day was made still more significant by the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation. The Corporation started a bus service connecting Parumala Seminary with Pampady Dayara. The inter- pilgrim town bus service was flagged off by the Transport Minister Sri. Mathew T. Thomas himself to the cheer of all devotees and well wishers.
