Hi John, great to hook up with you yesterday on Eqso. I appreciate your help and all the input from the others. I downloaded an update to Zone Alarm, as suggested. I then tried (6) times to download Echolink, but to no avail. I used new passwords everytime, and each time it came back with a message "Password Invalid" I used the "New Settings" choice in setup and each time it came back with the "Password Invalid" message. There was also a choice- "if you have ever used Ilink wizrd will import the old settings". I used that setting, as well as the "use new settings" choice, and still got the "password invalid" message. I don't think I am having a problem with Zone alarm, as it asked me if I wanted to let Echolink thru, I clicked "Yes". I feel this is a password issue, and I am at a loss what to do now. Although, I would very much like to use Echolink, I feel I am to the point now that whatever I do I am not going to get it downloaded and working in my PC. Someone mentioned "Port Settings" in our previous correspondence. Where do I find Port Settings and how do I enter them? I am willing to try anything, short of buying a new computer(which I can't afford), to get this program up and running. I am going to be here all day today (Sunday, 9/1). Write me an Email or answer me on the Echolink Message page. I want to know where to go from here. You were ready yesterday to help me download and get the program running, but I had a couple of things going on at once, and didn't get to it. If you would have time today to walk me thru this, I would appreciate it. I want to make one last attempt at downloading Echolink. If that doesn't work, then the hell with it. I am about out of patience with this thing.
One more note: When the download screen comes up it asks me if I want to "save" or open the program. I always clicked "open the program" and it went right to the download wizard. When I save it to a file it is there to install at a later date.
Let me know your thoughts on this, thanks. John N4SHX
