Update; I came accross an Linux audio player called XMMS cross platform
multimedia player today on Yum Extender together with the mpeg plugin
, its a great player because it allows you to use your secondary non
default sound device. i.e. soundcard to play music etc, with the alsa
driver configuration within. The Logitec USB headset can remain the
detection default device(needed for java audio engine selection output).
In this case I can use the DVTool listen/tx whilst playing a mp3 song
with XMMS simultaneously tested good. Such that I dont have to change
audio card default selection (requires reboot) anymore to listen to a
tune and then surf the gateways :) kamix can display and control both
device levels at the same time.
