Jamie is correct, this single page was among the results of my quest to discover my paternal grandfather's family. I forgot I had this copy until I came across it when looking for something else yesterday. I definitely came to the right place to ask my questions about it! Thank you again for you insight and comments.
Yes, my wife and I traveled to the CR to visit my grandfathers ancestors. They DO live between Cesky Tesin and Jablonkov, in small villages along the eastern Czech border. This piece of paper fits into the oral history told to me about my great grandparents. I was told they were storytellers, so I suspect this is the "proof" to their statement. My great grandmother was a "published" storyteller!
Apparently this local dialect is still "alive and well" in that region. The young translator [20-ish) said she had a hard time understanding my cousin (70-ish) when she spoke.
And thanks for the reference regarding the source of this text. I don't need a translation. I can follow-up with additional research and learn something new today!
