Angola: Cuba Occupies Special Place in Reconstruction Process of Angola

Sumbe — The governor of the central Kwanza Sul province, Eusébio de Brito Teixeira, said on Wednesday in Sumbe city that Cuba occupies a special place in the national reconstruction process, having into account the participation of Cuban citizens in the several sectors in Angola.
The governor said so on the occasion of the visit paid to the province by the Cuban ambassador to Angola, Gizela Beatriz Garcia Riveira.
He hailed the engagement of Cuban experts in the sectors of education, health, construction, power and water.
The official also highlighted the solidarity of Cuba before and after the independence of Angola, by stressing the role played by Agostinho Neto, Fidel de Castro and Che Guevara.
On her turn, ambassador Gizela Riveira said that her visit aimed to learn about the implementation state of protocols with the authorities of the province and in particular, she congratulate the new governor Eusébio de Brito Teixeira on his appointment.
She said that Cuba is available to work with Kwanza Sul, so as to strengthen the relations in the existing domains and explore other sectors.
Over 100 Cubans are stationed Kwanza Sul province.
