The Dana Point CA Concours d'Elegance will be at the St. Regis Monarch Beach resort from June 24-26, with an automotive fine-art exhibit, a tour, and over 200 vintage motorcycles and vehicles competing for Best in Show.
The 2011 event just might be the best yet. This year there'll be a live auction along with cars from distinguished collections across Southern California.
A 1952 Siata 300 BC Spyder will be displayed on the green during the weekend. Originally imported to the U.S. as only the chassis, this Siata is an Italian race car with a supercharged Crosley engine mated to a four-speed transmission. The dark-blue exterior with yellow nose makes this racer stand out among the rest.
Dana Point Concours d'Elegance proceeds support the Ocean Institute, the Mary & Dick Allen Diabetes Center at Hoag Hospital and other Southern California youth charities.
The event is operated primarily as a Classic Car Club of America (CCCA) Concours, with additional classes showcasing interesting and relevant automobiles such as our Crosleys and other examples of the rich Southern California automotive heritage.
