The 16th annual Glenmoor Gathering of Significant Automobiles is Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Glenmoor Country Club.
Visitors will have the opportunity to view more than 200 vehicles. Each year, the Glenmoor Gathering features different theme vehicles. For 2010 there will be nine Duesenbergs on display at Glenmoor, including a 1933 Duesenberg made to order for Powel Crosley with what is described by a Glenmoor show director as having "a magnificent interior, totally over the top."
"Historic Motorcars of Cleveland" is another 2010 show feature. Car production in Cleveland halted in 1932, flattened by the Depression.
Last year's Glenmoor Gathering was attended by an estimated 6,000 people. In addition to automobiles, the event includes cooking demonstrations, a children's coloring contest, and a display of automotive-themed artwork. A buffet luncheon will be available. Admission is $20 for ages 13 and older, and free for 12 and younger. There is on-premises parking with shuttle service to the show.
