State Climatologists and National Weather Service staffs continue to
ignore, downplay and mislead the public on climate change and global
Excerpt from MN State Climatology office website:
"While the State Climatology Office is not actively involved in
scholarly work investigating the issue of climate change, our Office
is often called upon to offer scientific opinions on the topic. The
subject matter is of professional interest to us, but we make no claim
of expertise in this highly complicated and politicized field of study."
Also, from websites of 124 National Weather Service (NWS) offices in
the U.S. (link below) - no NWS staff are providing any education
material for the public on climate change and on how global warming
has been leaving obvious fingerprints effecting U.S. weather
conditions and weather-climate statistics.
It seems climate change is considered a "politicized field of study"
because government agencies (NWS and it's local connections to State
Climatologists and other government offices) have treated climate
change and global warming as political, in doing so doing they have
made it seem political.
