I found several records of White Wolf filing suit and
a few stating that there would be a 30 day
investigation before judging if there was an
infringement based on 60 counts of unique similarity.
I also see Underworld on video. I would assume from
this that the case was lost, or WW decided that the
movie actually boosted their sales.
PS I recall hearing that their case was dimissed
because their 60 points were either not unique enough
or not similar enough. For my money, I thought the
whole movie was "Look, somebody wrote up their Vampire
game and made a movie from it."
