Just in case anyone's not aware, next weekend (June 21-24) is Amerivespa, the VCOA's national scooter rally. This year it's in Lake Geneva, WI, an hour or two north of Chicago. The organizers have said they already have 500 registrations, so it's already one of the biggest scooter rallies in North America, ever. The dealer and club organizing it, Scoot Jockeys and Midwest Action Cycle, are incredibly gung-ho and have put an amazing amount of planning into it, including getting the city of Lake Geneva involved with lots of support. There are even street banners all over town advertising it!
All makes and models and all riders are welcome, there are lots of activities planned, including a Guinness World Record attempt for "Largest Scooter Parade," several rides of varying lengths, a concourse/show, a vendor area, fancy dinner, games, etc.
