I haven't posted in a while (though I've been lurking - congrats to TreyB, Dr. Plug, GeoJewett, and all the others celebrating milestones over the last several months!), and it's because until I logged one of the Father's Day Series from 2009 last weekend, I hadn't touched my GPS unit since December.
Here's part of the reason why I've been distracted, and I hope you can help me with it -
I've been up to my ears in focus group sessions I'm scheduling for my researchers, but I'm spending a lot of time trying to get the word out. I know you all are all over the Austin area (and beyond) and are familiar with the area roads. If any of you are interested, here's the posting on the notices I've been sending out:
"The Texas Transportation Institute is seeking twelve individuals to participate in a focus group session discussing the reasons why drivers do or do not make use of Central Texas toll roads. This study is sponsored by the Texas Department of Transportation. Eligible participants should be drivers age 18 or over with a valid license. The focus group will take approximately two hours and participants will be paid $50.00 for their time."
So, I'm very short on men under the age of 40 in the Cedar Park/Leander/Lakeline area on the 24th. I also need people in general for a focus group covering the Buda/Kyle area on the 26th, and for a focus group at our office in north central Austin on May 3rd. One will be coming up in May for Georgetown, too, but we have to finalize the location.
Any takers? Call me at 467-0946 if interested. You all have been a great help in the past, and I hope to get to talk to a few of you soon. Maybe you can motivate me to get back into the hunt while you are at it. :D
