I expected to see other reports by now from this morning either on Ventura Birds or Calbirds...
About 15 birders, between 7:15-9:30 a.m., when I left, got repeated looks at the Connecticut warbler found yesterday at the Laguna Road Tamarisks near Oxnard.
The bird was mostly staying in the bottom of the canopy of the tamarisks, about 25-35 feet up, moving up and down the row of tamarisks 100 yards or so each side of the driveway that enters the field. It would disappear for 20-30 minutes and then be refound for a few minutes before disappearing again.
Also seen, a clay-colored sparrow and a Brewer's sparrow. Gray vireo not seen today, so far as I know.
