Sorry you have been peppered/pestered by some/many of us eager beavers.
It's just that it would be a very exciting bird to see for those who missed
it last year. I had a feeling it might return, which it apparently has, but
assumed, of course, it would go back to the nice little pond in Sonora.

To all who are calling and writing regarding the Smew--AT THIS TIME
THE BIRD VISITS PRIVATE PROPERTY AND THE OWNERS ARE VERY PRIVATE AND
WILL NOT ALLOW ANY OTHERS ON THE PROPERTY. PERIOD. THE BIRD CANNOT BE
SEEN FROM THE ROAD. Now, I will do my best to keep tabs on the Smew
and let all the lists know when the bird decides to "go public".
