My degree is in Earth Sciences and as of recently I have been spending
lots of time outdoors doing fieldwork. This often includes camping in
30-60 degree weather. I use many gadgets like clinometers, GPS locators
and temperature gauges. My longest trip has been 4 days and generally
consists of 2 locations max, but I am looking forward to longer and more

Always works with adjustable lamp position from wide to narrow view to
illuminate centered objects with more brightness. Very heavy and durable
and after all these years, very little wear and tear shows on surface.
Used for general lighting in the woods, house and also nightclub to see
records while working as a dj.
THINGS I LIKE

Has always worked well. Is heaviness makes it easy to store as it stands
on end to fit perfectly in tighter storage spaces. It does have
durability. It has lasted through numerous falls, potential dents and
shattering without a scratch to the lens or bulb breakage.
THINGS I DON'T LIKE
There are two drawbacks to this device: its weight and its battery
usage. I find the weight heavy to be easily carried, especially if there
are other things in my hands. Its battery life is not as good as I would
like, but as it is a semi-high powered flashlight it might be on par for
the course. IIts illumination area is average nothing special, but the
bonus with mag-lite products is more for their durability, which it
