Thanks very much for the owner review of your Gregory Deva pack.
I found a number of issues with your review, and rather than providing
point-by-point edits at this point, decided it would be more
productive to give general guidance and ask that you repost after a
rewrite and proofreading check on your own.
Here's what I'd like to see in your reposted review:
- You have most of the required basic information, but it's not
organized as per the requirements (particularly the basic data on the
pack). Take a look again at the review requirements given on the
backpackgeartest.com site, then look at a few recently-posted owner
reviews of packs to get a good sense of what is required.
- You've made a fair amount of use of second person ("you"
statements), which we avoid at BGT. Reword all "you" statements to be
personal (e.g., "In my experience, the waterproof zippers on this pack
are only water-resistant" and "if I wish to quit using the lid",
amongst many examples.)
- Please do a spell-check and also proofread before submitting the
review; there were a number of typos such as "leighten", "chaffed",
"carrys" - some that would be caught by a spell-checker, some that
you'll need to spot by proofreading.
- It would be helpful to readers if you added some section titles
(e.g., "Field Conditions") - again, see other owner reviews for
examples and our standard conventions for this.
When you've made these changes, please post your review here again
with "REPOST" included in the subject line of the message. I'll edit
it and, if it's set to go, give you instructions on how to post the
HTML version of your review at the BGT site.
We also have a mentor program - if you'd prefer some direct and
personal help getting through the owner review process, just ask, and
we can hook you up with a mentor as well.
I look forward to seeing your cleaned-up review, as you have some
solid experience with this pack, and good information to pass along to
our readers. Thanks!
