This is the Turkey one. I find that 1% (5/523) of Turkey matches the
DNA with yours, on the short amounts they use. They tested 10
haplotype markers, but I can only find 8 of them on your page.
Assuming that the number counting method hasn't changed (which often
isn't true) there were five close to your haplotype on 8 markers in Q
outside Q-M25. This doesn't mean that you ARE related, because we
should use more. All we know is that it is in Q outside Q-M25 (this
fits Q1b), and that 8 microsatellites do not rebel against being
compatible with you.
I expect that there are similar amounts of this haplotype/haplogroup,
if not more, in neighboring countries, just that it needs to be
tested. Perhaps someone can look up Greece... I thought I was
reading a good new 2008 article on Greece Y-DNA, but then could not
Now I'm not suggesting you're from Turkey, since that is the only one
I did this for. I'm just saying that it like the rest of the area
(Middle East, Southern Europe), is a possible place for your
ancestry; longer haplotypes could help us tell.
