To answer the big question, I am in the Columbia gorge, in Hood River County, Oregon. We are trying to start a new group out here, but we are in the fledgling stages at this time. Both my kids are interested
in fighting, they are a 13 year old boy and a 12 year old girl. I was wondering what the devil is PEX? I have never heard of it before...
BTW, we are almost 60 miles from the nearest YAC practices, so not much hope of making them regularly at this time...

PVC per the book of boffer is still good. The new rules have not yet been released, but for now follow the guidlines as they are currently written. What area are you from? Mayhaps there is a local YAC marshal that can help you get your young fighters going? Good Luck!!!!

Greetings and well met!
I am Father to two aspiring Youth Armored Combatants. One 12 and one 13. I am comfortable with the armor requirements for this (having been a heavy Marshal for the better part of 18+ years), but someone was telling me that the PVC was no longer being used now that it is called Y.A.C.
Is PVC per the An Tir Book of Boffer still in effect, or are they using a different materials now for weapon construction? Both of my children are anxious to begin practicing, but we need weapons!! LOL
Thank you for your time!
