Sorry for the empty post before this one regarding your quest for
Greg. I hit the send button accidently.
Work has been slowed on my Classic 12 this summer. It was necessary to
stop in April to address maintenance needs in the cabin where I had
been building it so the boat had to wait. Following that we had a
family medical emergency which is just getting back to normal.
I have gotten the Dacron on the boat and it's been varnished and
trimmed. And yesterday I got back up there (to the cabin) and got the
skeg on finally. I don't know why but I had looked upon that step with
some trepidation. In the end it went on without any drama. Anyway,
hopefully, next weekend the rub rails go on and varnish on the skeg. I
hope there is a launching in a couple of weeks.
I'm looking forward to a rewarding fall and winter rowing around a
quiet lake. There aren't as many sport fishermen and women out during
the colder season.
