Very new to this group I have several paintings that were given to my
mother from a family friend who was a member of the verona fathers
missionary. In the 60s or early 70s he brought back paintings on
canvas that were painted literly with straw etc for him. My mother did
alot of volunteer work for the verona fathers and brother pratt gave
these to her. He was down there during very volatile times and many
times him and fellow brothers were taken prisoner and some were
killed. His last trip there he brought these back with him for my
mother Long story short I just would like to know where I could find
out more info on these paintings I was young and only remember bits and
pieces of the story. Any info would be appreciated.
-The Verona Fathers are also known as the Camboni Missionaries (see http://www.comboni.org/)
-To what place are you referring when you say "Brother Pratt...was down there during very volatile times..."?
-Do you have images of the paintings to which you refer?
