I am including a PDF file of the postcard announcing
the show "Revolutions: A Century of Makonde Masquerade
in Mozambique" at the Miriam and Ira D. Wallach
Gallery at Columbia University in New York City, which
runs from Sept. 19 - Dec. 8.
The show traces the history of Makonde masquerade
(mapiko) over the course of the 20th century, with
over 65 masks and figures drawn from public and
private collections. A full-color catalogue with
essay and exhibition checklist will also be available
through the Wallach Gallery website after Sept. 19.
If you have trouble opening the PDF, please connect to
the Wallach's website at:
I invite you all to come, and look forward to seeing
some of you at the gallery talk on October 25th.
