The Climate Change Africa group discusses and exchanges information on climate change in Africa. Discussions are centred on scientific information, empirical and anecdotal evidence on climate change trends and associated effects on socioeconomic systems of Africa. The premise of our discourse is that the physical global climate is changing, international political awareness of the challenge is also changing, calling for important actions and policies to enhance the resilience of African production systems. We therefore inherently believe that Africa's life sustaining systems are particularly vulnerable to climate change, and a major concern is what effects climate change will have and how to adapt to them. Come Join us to have fruitful exchange. We welcome opinion, news posting and scholarly information on causes, consequences, mitigation and adaptation to climate change. This e-discussion group is an initiative of the Centre for Independent Development Research (CIDR), Cameroon.
