Yes, there's been a roll call go out and it sounds like all our folk are OK. (They did the same
after our big quake here -- we were listed as missing for a week until our daughter posted an
update on her Facebook status!)
We might have 2000 miles of ocean between us and Ynys Fawr (Christchurch is on the
same latitude as Hobart roughly), but we're getting warm winds and red sunsets....
I feel bad because I'd put together my Matthew Paris stip map itinerario and have in the
descriptive section a crack about how our visitors from the Old Principality find it unusual to
see forests that are not a-blaze....(I'd printed them out *before* this fire's season got into
gear, oh dear). The comments about our non-venymous fauna, of course, still stands....
