Longtime no talk. If you ain't noticed I've been out of Living History for awhile due to more pressing concerns, political as well as a severe back injury. Maybe I'll make Picacho next year, maybe not. In any event, after looking at the Ft. Bowie report, I'm reminded that I have a lot of pics from a past Ft. Bowie event as well as other AZ reenacting events if you care to use them on the website. They are all in printed pic form which you would have to scan and then return to me. Let me know.

I just realized I hadn't shared the photoss from Fort Verde on Dec.
2nd here. They are online at

There are also some photos from our activities at Fort Bowie in
November in the public gallery. We only had four infantrymen and a
cavalry currier with not as many park visitors as the previous year
but it was still a great event. You can Read Dan Munson's AAR at

"When our advanced guard and Cavalry first reached the Rio Grande they
[the Rebels] got up and left in such a hurry that they left all their
sick behind at Franklin who were agreably surprized [sic] at the
treatment they received at our hands, for they were laboring under the
false impression which their leaders had imbued them with, that the
California troops were but little better than Cannibals who would
torture if not eat their Prisoners"
