result of last weeks storms.

Process for homes that have been yellow or red tagged:
1.It is required by the Department of Building and Safety that all
affected properties hire an Engineer to make a complete inspection of
2.This inspection must include an evaluation of the entire property
so recommendations can be made to mitigate the reason the home was
3.The report that is generated must be submitted to the Department of
Building and Safety, Grading Division at 201 North Figueroa on the
4.The Department of Building and Safety will re-evaluate the status
of the home after receiving the report from the Engineer.
5.The Department is prepared to quickly respond to all reports
regarding homes that were tagged.
As noted in last weeks press release, the City Council passed
emergency legislation enabling everyone who lives in a red tagged
home to access up to $8,000 for emergency aid from the City. They
need to call 213/808-8876.
Hopefully, we will be granted another round of emergency disaster
relief from the Federal Government. More information regarding that
will be forthcoming.
