We have finally been given the "GO AHEAD" to prune the over-grown Fichus Trees - from the 3700 Block to Division Street - along Verdugo Road within the Verdugo Village (South) Neighborhood of Glassell Park. Provided is basic information for your reference and distribution to your constituency regarding the "CD13 Verdugo Village Corridor Tree Trimming Project!" They are as follows:
Dates of Service: Monday June 25, 2012 Tuesday July 10, 2012
Days of Services provided: Monday thru Saturday
Hours of Services provided: 7:00am to 5:00pm
Staging of Services: TBD in field incrementally
No. of Mitigated trees p/day: 10 minimum
Each day, the service areas along Verdugo Road will be cleaned/cleared and secured after the daily work request has been completed. There will be very little disruption to you, your business, or your area. Posting and notification will begin on Friday June 22, 2012 with the staging of equipment and dumpsters being provided shortly thereafter. Please refer to the flyer for further questions, comments and remarks. (see attached)
Congratulations to all the Residents/Merchants/Business Owner's of Glassell Park that have worked tirelessly to make our community a safer and more sustainable Neighborhood. Special thanks goes out to Councilmember Eric Garcetti's Office, the Northeast LAPD, the GPNC, the GPIA, and concerned Residents who worked hard to find funding to significantly prune the over-grown Fichus Trees along North Verdugo Road
