The Durango Herald, a family-owned daily newspaper in spectacular Southwest Colorado, seeks an experienced page designer/copy editor to join its multimedia news desk. We're looking for someone who can design news and feature pages that advance stories, write headlines that grab readers, and edit copy for accuracy, clarity, completeness and organization.
The ideal candidate also will offer at least some of the following qualifications -- experience with digital news and content on both desktop and mobile platforms, a foundation in CMS production technology, SEO experience, understanding of social media, and experience editing audio and video for online and mobile devices.
Applicants should be proficient in InDesign. Command of AP style is essential. Hours include nights and weekends.
