National Instruments is seeking a marketing editor for its Austin, Texas, corporate headquarters. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, exercise sound decision-making skills, possess excellent editing and communication skills, and have an eye for detail. This position requires five years of relevant experience and the ability to handle many tasks under tight deadlines.
Position Overview and Responsibilities
Content edit, copyedit, and proofread technical case studies, white papers, news releases, internal communications pieces, social media content, newsletters, and other corporate collateral
Maintain style and quality standards across all corporate marketing material
Work with authors to improve writing, understand integrated marketing plans, ensure consistent messaging/branding, and meet tight deadlines
Build relationships with subject matter experts throughout the company (including marketing and R&D engineers writing content, print/web designers working on collateral, and NI leadership)
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or English
Minimum of 5 years of editing experience
Excellent verbal, writing, and editing skills; rigorous attention to detail and quality
Knowledge of Associated Press and Chicago styles
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines while working on multiple, overlapping projects
