As I am a new subscriber, I thought it might be good if I informed everyone
of my 78 rpm record collecting interests. So, here goes: I collect the
music of the 1920's. Occasionally I will venture all the way up to 1932 or
so. But I love the flapper era music. I like jazz, blues and 'hot dance'
music of the era. I most especially like the female singers. I am trying
to complete a set of my favorite performer of the era---Annette Hanshaw.
Ditto for my favorite blues singer of the era--Lucille Hegamin. I need
several Hegamin records and quite a number yet of Annette Hanshaw
records---especially those on the Pathe and Perfect labels. If anyone has
some of these records, and will sell or trade, please let me know.
Also I collect strange and esoteric phonograph needles, such as the
"bell/hood", spring loaded, crank feed types, as well as advertisments of
such (copies OK). All such examples will be most welcome as I am doing
some private research on such. I will gladly pay for any that you have.
(These are all needles designed to use with crank phonos.)
Thank you. Preston Meeks
