This group was created for discussion of the Houston 48 Hour Film Project. Questions about the project are welcome. Use this as a forum for forming team and sharing filmmaking tactics.

The 48HFP is an exciting fast paced independent filmmaking competition which encourages filmmakers to get out there and make a film rather than talk about making a film. In cities around the world, teams of filmmakers race the clock to make a film in a single weekend. All creative activity – writing, filming, editing, etc – must all be done within this time frame. At the start of the competition, teams draw a genre and are assigned a character, prop and line of dialogue that must appear in the film – after that it’s up to them.

This year the 48HFP visits Houston the weekend of June 6 – 8. All entries will be screened at River Oaks Theatre on June 11 & 12. Registration opens April 14.
