The Zoo-phonics Program (zoo-phonics.com) is a complete, multi-disciplinary program that uses animal characters to teach the alphabet along with a body movement (or signal) that illustrates the animal/letter and its phonemic sound, giving children the tools they need to understand an otherwise abstract alphabet. Zoo-phonics has proven successful in preschool programs, Kindergarten and early elementary as well as special education and ESL classrooms. This group provides a forum for teachers and parents to share ideas in order to make the zoo-phonics experience even better.
