Hello everyone. I just finished "Alien Basement

to be traded/bought. "Alien Basement Food" #14
includes:<br>"Punk Rock with Tits" (an article on riot grrl
culture), Rants n' Raves (rants on the word "slut",
Metallica, and pushy salespeople), 'zine reviews, "Pop Cult"
(poem), Notes From a Rebel Riot Grrl, "Impact me"? (rant
about voting/government), "Sexual Orientation
Discrimination: A critical Essay", record review, "What Fills our
lives"?, "The Death of a Writer" and MORE.<br><br>"Alien

seeking submissions for issue #15 of "Alien Basement
Food", 'zines that need distributors (because I run a

and 'zinester pen pals... (to whom I can share D.i.Y
ideas with, learn about and just write/receive letter
to/from)<br><br>If you'd like more info on my D.i.Y distro then
please email me at:

Ashley,<br><br>Did I ever send for ABF? I think I
did a bit back (I traded an issue of Splat! if I
recollect correctly). I haven't seen ABF though so I'm not
sure if you're late on sending the issue or if my mind
is going numb from the numerous trades here and
there. Wanna send me a status report please? Send me
e-mail at splat_zine@... -
thanks.<br><br>-Eric<br>Former editor/writer of Splat!

I think this is a great idea for a club and
especially great for those of us who would like to have our
'zines out there, or to see what else is out there. So
here's an invitation to everyone with a zine: send it to
me!<br><br>Here's my postal address:<br><br>cut-it-out<br>editor:
Amber Dawn Pullin<br>P.O. Box 903<br>Glencoe,
Ontario<br>N0L 1M0<br>Canada<br><br>I'll send you back one of
mine. Hopefully a recent one, should I get working on
it some more soon. (I also work full-time in a
factory, I get busy doing other things and I have other
excuses as well) I started cut-it-out in May of 1997 as a
"letter" to my friends when I moved out on my own. It grew
into something much larger, being an outlet for my
literary, political and other interests. Whenever I'm done
an issue I like to put it behind me and look at ways
in improving the next one. I'm accepting submissions
as well, be it poetry, articles, reviews (books,
movies, music, anything), short stories and stuff like
that. You can send it to the address above or to the
email address for cut-it-out at:
cutitoutonline@...<br><br>Hope to see some 'zines! Any type or topic would
do. I
love to read and am always looking for something new
to delve into. Plus, if you like, I can move it
around in my area for ya. You can get a hold of me
personally by sending an email to goldmourn@... or
responding in this message board.<br><br>~goldmourn~

Hello:<br>I joined this club because I, too, am a
publisher of a small press periodical, which we lovingly
refer to as a zine. My magazine, THE THOUGHT, will mark
its 20th Anniversary on May 1st. The May/June 2001
issue will be the Commemorative issue of this event.

consideration should do so by March 23rd, as the issue will be

Calling all social/political themed 'zines (and
personal with a wide scope of articles)... I have an
article I wrote up for a friend's 'zine that he's
declined to use (doesn't fit in with his issue's theme) so
it's available to anyone who would like to use
it.<br><br>The article is roughly about my dislike for people
who judge things by only what they hear or see and
don't actually read about things and learn the truth
and judge for themselves. E-mail me if interested -
thanks!<br><br>-Eric<br>(formerly of Splat! 'zine)

My cousin and I put out a zine called Beautiful
Bras and Bodyhair, and we're looking for submissions
for our next issue, which is focussing on bodyhair
(of all kinds) and how people feel about it, how
we're told to feel about it, and how we'd like to feel
about it. The deadline for submissions is March 15th -
stuff from both males and females welcome. Our email
address is further below, so you can submit to it, or
email me there for further info. <br><br>Here's a
little more info about our zine, and a URL for our
webpage (such as it is right now):<br><br>Beautiful Bras
and Bodyhair is a zine venue for creative women/grrls
to speak their mind about pressing issues and to put
forward their own experiences. It's about resistance,
gender, religion, sexuality, art, beauty, class, shaving,
culture, race, and everything else that comes into our
heads. We always have contributors (so far just various
people we know) and are open to submissions that explore
personal/political issues from a non-oppressive standpoint (our
politics strive to harmonize with feminist, queer,
anti-racist, socialist, anti-ableist, etc. movements for
progressive social change.)<br><br>Please don't send us
submissions that aren't related in some way to the kinds of
topics stated above - we won't be able to use them.

Issue #7 of Cobweb Junction is done and finished,
available for trade and purchase ($1.50/$1+2 Stamps/Trade).
It includes a story about meeting a dejected
homeless man downtown, a story of finding hope at a
nightclub, an article about legwarmers, a discussion of my
name and what it means to me, movie recommendations,
plus probably too much gushing about the x-men,
particulary rogue and gambit... I dunno, I just love those
guys.<br><br>#8 is coming along well. It's longer and denser than
the last issue, also more serious because I've been
in a more serious mood. It's more political too.
It's hard for me to do long zines, but I'm really
pushing myself to make this one 40 pages. It's a catch
22; it's hard to get that much content done in 3
months, but if I have a just "whenever" deadline, the
issue loses all focus... So we'll see how this
goes.<br><br>Okay, I'm just rambling, but before I go I just want to
say you should all get "Punkanut." It's seriously the
best zine I've read since "Galaxy Distortion" (though
entirely different). And Wylie, thank you so much for the
tape, I really love it. I'll get some goodies in the
mail for you next week.<br><br>So if anyone wants to

Wow. I was actually going to submit a piece of
mine but then read what you had written. To quote a
friend of mine, "A little angsty, are we?" Why the
anger? If you like designing websites, then go for it.
If you like to write, then do it. Don't rely on
anyone to do it for you. I put out 3 issues of my zine
with no help and then finally on the fourth one, I got
a few contributions. Don't give up. I say you go
back and design the best website you can and fill it
with your best material. Don't let anyone throw you
off course.

thanks for that. i was just kind of sick of
spending time on the website because i was never really
happy with it and it didn't have a lot of stuff on.
i've made 3 issues of a printed zine, and the website
was meant to be an sort of accompaniment to it, but
it took up so much time that i never end up working
on the printed zine, and i get a lot more
satisfaction cutting + pasting + photocopying + mailing than i
was from the website.<br><br>i was having a bad day,
which is why the thing i wrote about it was so angsty,
sorry.<br><br>it might come back on line someday if i get any
contributions.<br><br>thanks.
