My name is Lorenzo Crescini. I am a Captain of the merchant Navy now
on retirement.
When I was a secular missionary in an African leprosary, I wrote
some Flashes on the Holy Gospels which helped a lot of people by
giving them new trust and hope. You will find them in web site

www.lorenzocrescini.it/holygospels
E mail:
ricercapap@...

Here are the first three Flashes as an example
1. There is the historical proof the myth could not invent the
Cross . If the Cross roused a "social orror" by the heathens ,it
caused a shocking religious dismay by the Jews. It is not a case that
the first christians in order to avoid that the preaching might be
jeopardised.,represented the Cross by an anchor ,a plough, a mast, a
man praying with open arms. How can we think that this way of dying
was put in the myth by the christians themselves ?

2. Should somebody tell us of having seen a dead person on the
cross resuscitated, nobody would believe him. But if the same person
stating that could also make miracles, then we would believe him.
That happened to the Apostles who got the power of making miracles in
order to be believed. Without that power, Christianity couldn't have
been born.

3. Jesus says on the Cross: "My God ,My God ,why did You abandon
me ? Such words might even shock the reader. Why should they have
been written if they weren't true,then ?

Subject: Military Draft expected to start June 15, 2005

If there are children in your family, READ this.

There is pending legislation in the House and Senate (twin bills: S 89
and HR 163) which will time the program's initiation so the draft can
begin at early as Spring 2005 -- just after the 2004 presidential
election. The administration is quietly trying to get these bills
passed now, while the public's attention is on the elections.

Congress brought twin bills, S. 89 and HR 163 forward, entitled the
Universal National Service Act of 2003, "to provide for the common
defense by requiring that all young persons [age 18--26] in the United
States, including women, perform a period of military service or a
period of civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and
homeland security, and for other purposes." These active bills
currently sit in the committee on armed services.

Dodging the draft will be more difficult than those from the Vietnam
era. College and Canada will not be options. In December 2001, Canada
and the U.S. signed a "smart border declaration," which could be
used to keep would-be draft dodgers in. Signed by Canada's minister of
foreign affairs, John Manley, and U.S. Homeland Security director,
Tom Ridge, the declaration involves a 30-point plan which implements,
among other things, a "pre-clearance agreement" of people entering
and departing each country.
Reforms aimed at making the draft more equitable along gender and
class lines also eliminates higher education as a shelter.
Underclassmen would only be able to postpone service until the end of
their current semester. Seniors would have until the end of the
academic year.

This plan, among other things, eliminates higher education as a
shelter and includes women in the draft.

Please send this on to all the parents and teachers you know, and all
the aunts and uncles, grandparents, godparents.... And let your
children know -it's their future, and they can be a powerful voice for
change!

Please also contact your representatives to ask them why they aren't
telling their constituents about these bills -- and contact newspapers
and other media outlets to ask them why they're not covering this
important story.

The draft $28 million has been added to the 2004 selective service
system (sss) budget to prepare for a military draft that could start
as early as June 15, 2005. Selective Service must report to Bush on
March 31, 2005 that the system, which has lain dormant for decades, is
ready for
activation.

Please see website: <http://www.sss.gov/perfplan_fy2004.html> to view
the sss annual performance plan - fiscal year 2004.

The pentagon has quietly begun a public campaign to fill all 10,350
draft board positions and 11,070 appeals board slots nationwide.
Though this is an unpopular election year topic, military experts and
influential members of congress are suggesting that if Rumsfeld's
prediction of a "long, hard slog" in Iraq and Afghanistan [and a
permanent state of war on "terrorism"] proves accurate, the U.S. may
have no choice but to draft.

WHAT TO DO: Tell all your friends!!!!!

ScriptGraphics site close

The latest, new information has been posted on the ScriptGraphics site
now and you'd better get there quick. I'm shutting the current
ScriptGraphics site down in favor of a more expansive one (with less
hassles from the ISP) to be opened in September. Until then the site
I'll be using is:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ScriptGraphicsArtPremier

Please make a note of it and change the link on your sites to reflect
the change. The http://home.earthlink.net/~goza1 site will become
inactive on the 25th of June. Thank you very much.

But until then:
I've put up a tribute to a small press legend.
The new Magnicore strip is up (we're already at installment 23 of 60).
The second part of my Iraqi war commentary is up. (Wait until you see
the poster I found on the internet of the Bush Administrations players
in the conflict).
The Fenth gives his opinion on the state of small press artists and
why is so hard to succeed in the small press.
And an awesome Bullseye illustration that also graces the Art Premier
site. Hey, we're going on hiatus with a bang.
See you sooner than you think.

Agent With Style will be at the following conventions in July:

TORONTO TREK -- we will have mostly Stargate, Buffy and Trek zines in
the dealer's room.

SHORE LEAVE -- we'll have the full compliment we usually take in the
dealer's room.

GATECON -- we will have *only* Stargate zines and jewelry, selling
out of our Best Western hotel room.

SAN DIEGO COMIC CON -- we don't have a table, so we're only taking
*pre-con* orders to hand out from our room. We will have *no* zines
with us other than those explictly asked for.

Any zine listed below or on our webpage at www.agentwithstyle.com is
available for a pre-con order. The deadline for all four cons is
midnight on June 28, 2004. If you want to make sure you can get a
zine, please send us a pre-con order!

BYE-BYE, BOOKMAN

In this wonderful slash novel by Muriel Perun, with an intriguing
cover by Laura Shapiro, it's been over a year, but Ray Vecchio is
still haunted by his time spent undercover as deadly criminal Armando

Fraser, now back in town after his failed relationship with Kowalski.
Can Vecchio pick up the pieces of his life when so many parts still
seem to be missing?

HAWK AND HANDSAW

SOMEWHERE ON THE EDGE OF WORDS

D.M. Kraft has written a wonderful book of poems, many of which are
fandom-inspired. "I Walk Ancient Roads," 2002 winner of a Stargate
SG-1 fiction award for best poem, and written from the perspective of
Daniel Jackson. "I Hurt When You Hurt" and "So Many Things I Need to
Say," both inspired by a common theme in Sentinel fic that involves
Jim and Blair unable to express to one another important thoughts and
feelings. "Dreaming," a poem that helps explain the importance of
fanfic to both its writers and its readers, as a genre in which "the
stories never cease to rise, the heroes never die, and I often find,
to my surprise, they sometimes even cry...." Don't miss this
incredible book!

discover that the archives are stored in more than one vault under
various misspellings of the name 'Deep Ice,' as a security measure.
While 'Dee-Pice' was one of those misspellings, and even though these
gen zines have been out of print for quite a while, they are no
longer 'lost'. Come read wonderful stories from some of the best
authors in this fandom, and discover just why the aliens were so

the philly zine fest was off the hizzie! well since it took place in
west philadelphia..i figured i'd say that!

anyway i debuted my newest issue of my zine, childlike empress and
between trades, a couple sales and handing off a few to
parcellpress.com (they are distro-ing me, i'm always looking for any
distro ops), i completely ran out of new issues, but i always have
plenty of copies of the first issue.

i was extremely honored to meet Christoph Meyer from OH, creator of
28 pages lovingly bound with twine and Davida Gypsy Breier of
Xerography Debt and Leeking Inc, two people i admire from afar.
Perhaps one day i'll get to meet Jeff Somers at one of these zine

hometown.

anyways i met lots of new faces, reconnected with familiar faces and
made new friends! and got lots of free stuff as well

big ups to Andrea and Casey, the tireless organizers of the Philly

got a well deserved rest after this!

Hey Raequel,

It was great seeing you again!

Lots of new faces, too many names to remember. For
those of you who were there I was the guy who was
wearing the "ZINE" shirt (still available for sale on
my web site www.njghost.com) and sweating like someone
who just stepped out of the shower. I think I drank my
body weight in water that day.

I wanted to thank Andrea and Casey personally, but
there was just TOO much going on. Were they the
wonderfuly thoughtful people going around with
popcicles?

I hope everyone at least got to hog the cameras for a
few seconds. There were two crews mixing it up with
the crowd -- and you should all expect to see a DVD by
the end of the year! Perhaps a holiday gift for the
zinesters in your life?

ANyway, it was a great time and I met tons of
interesting people. Thanks to everyone that came out!

What: PINGAO and TOETOE - A Love Story

This show features the artwork of Zak Waipara, illustrator, painter, writer.
Zak's images are vibrant, colourful and exquisitely beautiful. This 11 image
series tells the story of Pingao and Toetoe, brought together by nature and
fuses traditional stories with a contemporary aesthetic.

As part of the night's events, filmmaker Helena Smith and myself have
created a slideshow of images taken from the works themselves which forms

PRESS RELEASE

A.C. SWINBURNE & WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE FEATURED ON CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED NEW CD

"An extraordinary voice" -- Germany's Der MusikMarkt.

“A remarkable debut” -- BPM

“One of the most uniquely “different” releases to ever grace our pages.” – Blues
& Soul

“Emotion-drenched” – Time Out New York

Nobody sounds like Tama.

And with Tama Waipara's Triumph of Time on ObliqSound, the New Zealand born
singer/guitarist/composer unleashes his unique musical vision.

"Music is an amazingly influential and vibrant element in my cultural
background," states Tama. "The Maori are a naturalistic and genealogically-based
indigenous culture steeped in the traditions of our ancestors, or 'iwi.' Our
culture is based on an ancestral oral tradition rich in chanted song and
percussive, rhythmic music."

Tama's Triumph of Time is where thoughts become poetry, poetry becomes verse and
verse becomes song.

And with poetry such a vital part of the project, Shakespeare and Swinburne came
into play. “Though working with the text of Shakespeare was a daunting task in
one way, on the other hand it was very exciting to apply it in a new way. The
appeal of Swinburne was the timelessness of the lyrics. Plus I particularly
appreciated his tying of issues like unrequited love to nature. You know, coming
from somewhere like New Zealand and being Maori, that love/nature connection is
a significant part of my upbringing.”

The CD is a diverse musical blueprint without borders. A fluid and eclectic
foray into R&B, jazz, classical, Latin rhythms and an amalgam of exotic
indigenous music from around the globe, the entire album reverberates with a
candor, intensity and stirring spirituality.

Tama has a growing European fan base following a successful UK tour that took
him to such noted venues as Fabric. In the US he has garnered critical praise
from his live shows at the prestigious Summer Stage festival in New York’s
Central Park and Joe's Pub (at the legendary Public Theater). He has made
repeated appearances on 50,000 Watt/200,000 listener Light Show on WBAI-FM in
New York and in December 2003 was invited to perform live on a WBAI on air
benefit that featured such musical giants as Roy Ayres and Groove Collective.
His release is generating excitement both within the industry and in record
buyers who pride themselves on their adventurous musical tastes. He also has a
weekly spot on a prime time arts program on TV in New Zealand and can be heard
each and every Thursday 10AM on WBAI-FM's (99.5 NYC) First Voices, the
Indigenous peoples' show.

Triumph of Time, released on May 5 2004, will take you on an aural and lyrical
journey.

Tama Waipara is available for interviews, live performances, and educational and
musical lectures and seminars.

The site www.cgmoore.com is the Official Website of a famous
Canadian author Christopher G. Moore.

If you are interested in knowing what farangs have experienced in
Thailand, Christopher G. Moore's books will give you the best answer.
Moore is regarded as one of the best English writers writing about
Thailand and Southeast Asia.

According to the Bangkok Post, "Moore knows Thailand better than the
Thais know themselves."

To Thai readers Moore may sound like a new name, but this author is
well known in America, Australia, Europe, and Japan. He has lived in
Thailand for the past 16 years and has written 17 novels which have
been extensively reviewed in Newsweek, Maclean's, The Globe and Mail,
Vancouver Sun, Asia Times, Japan Times, various media in Europe, and
Thailand's home papers like Bangkok Post and The Nation.

Moore's new book is just out! "Pattaya 24/7" is No. 8 in his famous
Vincent Calvino Private Eyes Series.

one of Thailand's top translators, Khun Noppadol Wessawad, who has
described the book as "Sharp and hot on the tongue like pure

4 SunWraith strips (and I've inked them too).

Free Ebook

Hi friends,

I'm SAM, an Iraqi refugee living in Lebanon. I'm an activist for human rights,
especially for refugees. I'm working now on a project for publishing ebooks on
the net about our cases as refugees. I'm writing about my own experience and I'm
translating some articles from Arabic to English. One of my ebooks is for sale
and the other are for free. I need some help in proof reading and editing for my
free ebook {REFUGEES FARM} it's about a special event in the life of refugees in
Lebanon when they went in hunger strike at UNHCR's office in Beirut. I
translated articles from local newspaper and also I'll add my comments.

The book will be available for free, but I need some proof reading (in English).
I hope I can find help from any friend who has the ability and the time to do
some editing (grammar arranging). The work is in MS word documents. For any
friend how speaking Arabic and English there will be articles in Arabic.

Please notice; I don't have any financial offers for that work. I'll give it
free for any one who likes to read. I can offer only to put some announcement in
the ebook about any help I'll have to make the book. For example if there is any
one who has any kind of work related to book business and he will help me for
free I'll put an announcement about his company and his contribution in return
for his help or sponsoring if available.

I appreciate any help.

I’ll be happy if you look in this page: http://www.unhcr.co.uk/farm/farm.htm
there are links to download the work
  for the ebook ‘refugees farm’.

There are zip files contain the work, you can download what you like to read and
to work on if you like.

I’ll be happy to hear your opinions and comments.

My name is Lorenzo Crescini and I'm Italian. These "Flashes on Good
and evil" reflect the same mood characterizing the Flashes on the
Holy Gospels and Turin's Holy Shroud I wrote in Africa: making myself
useful to our Lord Jesus Christ.
I will start by quoting the best Prayer to Jesus I've ever read.
At the very beginning some reflections concern the devil one.
I thank all those who will read me, write to me, will ask for an
explanation and those who will be able and willing to advertise what
they read by Web, the press or however they like.
I am confident that the last of my Reflections containing a few lined
short account of my life, will be devoted to all of us who are proud
of the Lord.

Web site
www.lorenzocrescini.it/reflections

Best regards

Here are three Reflections as an example

24) One cannot or mustn't say to those who are ill and
suffering: " That's God who puts you to the test". In this way we
would offend The God of Endless Love who cannot wish our suffering.
One needs say to those who suffer: " God's Son himself suffered
because of evil, but you will also resurrect with Him, as He did".
That is the truth and only the truth can give one who suffers the
Hope which won't let him fall into that despair the devil one wants
to seize his soul and conscience! Saying: "it's God who puts you to
the test" gives a suffering man the same relief a learned lecture on
food chemistry gives a starving one.

29) We can give or take from God, Creator of all things, nothing,
except for two things: we can take from Him Honour by offending Him
with our refusal, we can give Him our love, by accepting Him in our
heart! With what insolence might we wish or boast His Light one day,
we, if we had denied Him all life long, being able to believe Him and
not doing that?

38) There are many Evangelic miracles showing the spontaneity of
a memory, neither built nor adapted, which nevertheless is engraved
in the memory of those who were present to the event. It is from
conveyed small details that the truth of the memory of a lived and
handed down episode transpires.

My name is Ryan Rogers. I run a non-profit organization out of Salem,
Oregon called "Freaks N Geeks". (I won't go too deeply into that
now, but if you are curious, lemme know and I'll tell more). Anyhow,
we publish a little zine (though I admit that we got into it a bit
ignorantly of the entire universe in which we existed), and are
expanding our operation a bit. We are developing, at Willamette
University, a "zine program", which will not only include tutorials
and classes on how to put togther zines and other independent
publishing projects, but also a zine library....which brings me to my
point.

We are in the process of putting together a zine library, which as
most of you know, is a rather daunting task. The first and foremost
thing is to, basically, 'get zines'. Zines that you would be willing
to contribute would be studies, read, shared, and truly enjoyed!
We'll take any zines whatsoever, and would love your submissions. If
you would be willing and/or interested in contributing your zines to
our project, please e-mail me at freaksngeeksrmr@....

One step further note, but we are considering trying to do some kind
of online archiving as well. The parameters of this as a possibility
are still somewhat sketchy to us, so it may not work out, but if you
think you would be willing to allow your zines to be .pdf filed and
available online, please let us know that. We would not and never
will do this without express and direct permission.

Thank you again.
Ryan Rogers

PS - I notice an appology for cross-posting, and if it is something
that is frowned upon, I appologise as well. This is not spam. This is
a legitimate request, a legitimate project, and somethign that we are
undertaking passionately.

Striply Speaking –

I've always wanted to hearken back to the days of the first comics,
those done as strips.
Superman became and ushered in the age of the modern comic book
because the comic strip syndicates didn't think Superman would work as
a comic strip. If you've been to:
http://home.earthlink.net/~nightray2002/id7.html
then you've seen what I'm trying to do.
Let's bring back the comic strip format and lets do it for the web.

Here's the skinny:
1. You'll have to submit 15 (fifteen) initial strips to even be
considered for acceptance on the strip site.
[This will give us a good idea of what you're doing, if you're
committed to your project, and it'll give you plenty of lead time so
you won't get caught at any week with nothing to upload.]
2. Every week after that (once what you've submitted is accepted)
you'll have to submit one strip a week. You miss a week, you're moved
out of rotation and now have to submit an additional 15 (fifteen)
strips to be re-admitted into the strip site. [Again this is to insure
that you're committed to what you're doing. I've found that many of
the problems with the small press are that they don't consider their
audience. They produce only for themselves and the hell with the
audience. Comics is a `consistency over time' phenomenon. Every
segment of the comic industry has deadlines and consequences except
the small press. I suspect that's why the small press is so fragmented
and chaotic which is both its curse and blessing. Hopefully, this will
put the creators in the mindset that even the small press can conduct
itself in a timely and professional manner and remove the stigma that
we can't compete with the big boys.]
3. We're looking to post only PG13 material. If you can't make your
case in that arena, having gratuitous sex or hard language won't make
your story any more real or dramatic. We're looking for `class act'
material to effect a sophisticated audience. You can skirt the line
but don't cross it. The decisions of our editors are final and not up
for debate. If you think what you're doing might be objectionable, it
probably is. Sensual is fine, sexual and slutty isn't. Tastefully
staged death or killing scenes are fine, but `in your face'
gratuitously gory shock scenes are not. Again, the decisions of our
editors are final and not up for debate.
4. We're only accepting continuous adventure and action strips at this
time. There are many gag strip sites online and we're not competing
with them. We're looking for the new mythologies to offer a different
slant but carry on the traditions of such comic strips as Mike Roper,
Prince Valiant, Batman, Steve Canyon, etc. Your strips can feature
Superheroes but they don't have to. As long as the strip is
adventurous and/or action packed with a story worth telling…you'll be
aces with us.
5. Drop a line to:
aja_frost@...
and let her know you're interested in being a part of this way cool
undertaking. Make sure you include the name of the strip, creator(s)
and copyright information somewhere on every strip you send. You are
the owner of the strip and all rights are yours. We will act as a
group site for the display of your strips, which will be in good
company. If you wish to archive your strips at a site of your choosing
we'll provide a link from the page your strip appears on to your
archive site. Otherwise, we'll archive them at another site of ours
(space permitting).
6. Since website space is finite, this is a first come first serve
proposition. It's all based on the amount of space any number of
strips take up at the site. If you have comic stories already done,
reformat them to the strip format size and you'll be good to go. We
did that with the Magnicore strip at:
http://home.earthlink.net/~nightray2002/id7.html
so please do stop by that site and see the look we're going for. But
please, only use it as an example of where to start from. You get to
be as creative as you want to be with us.

Some strip size specifications:
The template sizes we use would allow you to work more naturally (most
comic pages are 10 by 15. If you split that length by 4 you'll get our
one-quarter size - 3.675 by 10. If you split the page in thirds you'll
get the one third size - 4.875 by 10. [Keep in mind we separate one
strip from another by a quarter inch]. Each of the sizes will fit on
an eight and a half by eleven page for ease of use. Once the strip is
done, it's scanned at half it's size and that's what gets uploaded.
(Of course you can draw to the exact size if you like, the choice is
yours).
Keep the overall file size for e-mailing down to 150 KB or smaller. In
this case smaller is better. Fonts shouldn't be any smaller than 7
point if you expect them to be read. Your files must be in either gif
or jpeg format. You can work in color or black and white since the web
works easily with both. An S.A.S.E. (self addressed stamped envelope)
will get you a set of our templates. Ask Aja nicely for our mailing
address.

Now that all the tech info is out of the way, please do concentrate on
you story telling. It's the area where most small press creators fall
short. Having a story you want to tell is not the same thing as
telling a story well. Pace your story within the confines of the strip
format. Don't think of the comic book format, think of the strip format.

With all that said: Good Luck and for those who take this on, welcome
aboard.

For this workshop, I'm trying to create a resource

semi-centralized list of how to access zines that talk
about gender identity and expression. Of course, I
won't be able to find everything that's out there,
which is why I need your help! Do you publish a zine
that would be appropriate for this workshop? Do you
know someone who does? Please let me know if I can

announcement on to anyone you think would be
interested. If you know of a zine that you think
should be listed, it would be great if you could send

In addition to the zine I'm creating, I'd love to have

BLACK AND WHITE

In this slash sequel novella to LOVE IS THE LAW (see listing on
our website) by Melody Clark, one former New York Special Victims
Unit detective observed, "Nobody sees what we see." Unbeknownst to
his SVU colleagues, one of their own *had* seen all that and more.
As revealed during his days on "Homicide: Life on the Streets," John
Munch has a dark and haunted past, but as his partner Fin and John
embark upon their new life together, Fin discovers pockets of John's
past about which he'd never known. And he calls upon John to make
changes to ensure their future together. The only question is
whether John is strong enough, at this late date, to change.

leafy forest where *Robin of Sherwood's* Merry Men rob the rich and
protect Herne's lands, these zines are dedicated to the universes of
British television. Discover a Yank named *Dempsey,* and his
partner, Lady Harriet *Makepeace,* two cops don't take no for an

ALPHABET SERIES 2: BLIZZARD

A snowstorm hits Smallville, and Clark Kent is left on his own
to take care of the family farm. Unable to contact Clark, his
parents -- away in Metropolis for a few days -- must turn to the only
person with a working phone line. But when Lex Luthor braves the
elements to check on Clark himself, he finds out that driving off a
bridge is much easier than trying to nagivate a blizzard... Stranded
at the farm, Clark and Lex make some interesting discoveries about
themselves and each other while trying to stay warm and
alive...together. A fantastic slash novella written by T.M.
Alexander.

KALEIDOSCOPE 4
KALEIDOSCOPE 5
KALEIDOSCOPE 8

In a kaleidoscope, colored fragments are reflected and refracted
to produce patterns that constantly change, yet are always eye-
catchingly beautiful. In this wonderful series of Kirk/Spock slash
zines, you'll find stories that do the very same thing -- take one
Human and one Vulcan and mix, to delightful results!

T'HY'LA 24

Gene Roddenberry, father of all things Trek, coined the term
*t'hy'la,* which can mean
friend, blood brother, lover and soul mate. The stories in this
slash zine cover all those
meanings in one way or another, as Kirk and Spock learn how much they
mean to one another.

REDEMPTION 5

This gen zine focuses on the special friendship between Jack
O'Neill and Daniel Jackson, but don't forget the rest of the team.

HARD BARGAINED

Written by R. Dean Becker, this enthralling novel begins in
canon, at the point where Buffy has discovered, and dispatched, all
of Spike's newly-Turned fledging vampires in the cellar he was holed
up in, but from there, it diverges into a new tale of love and growth
and rebirth, not just between Buffy and Spike, but including all the
Scoobies. But without the annoying Potential Slayer teeny-boppers.
This gen adult novel shows how a Slayer and a Vampire with a soul can
come together in love, and become One in order to defeat the First
Evil. Because, Evil? Not so good.
