Welcome to Yunnanadopt! This mailing list is for the purpose of uniting families who have adopted from Kunming and other cities in Yunnan province, including but not limited to: Baoshan, Chuxiong, Honghe (city), Jianshui, Jinhong, Kaiyuan, Kunming, Lancang, Lincang, Mengzi, Mile, Simao, Xundian and Yongshan (in Zhaotong prefecture). There are also Yahoogroup lists specifically for families adopting from Fuyuan/Qujing, Dongchuan, Gejiu and Zhaotong in Yunnan that are not as active. If you are requesting membership to the Yunnanadopt list, please send an e-mail to the moderators, Hanni Beyer Lee or Jennifer Berry and explain why you would like to join. Please let us know where in Yunnan you are adopting from.

If you are adopting a child from Kunming, please take a moment to read the Frequently Asked Questions in the Files section. These FAQs pertain mostly to adoption from Kunming. Other FAQ lists will be developed for families adopted from other areas over time. Please feel to create them if you have important information to share about other areas in Yunnan. PLEASE NOTE: Families who are adopting a WAITING CHILD may also subscribe to this group after they have sent in their Letter of Intent to adopt a specific child. Please be sensitive to the fact that this list is comprised of a very diverse group of families. Not all families have specific religious beliefs. We look forward to hearing from you.
