Description

Young people around the planet want to create a world that works for all. In cities everywhere young people are beginning to gather together weekly and/or monthly. They come from many different organizations and make new friendships building relationships across many new networks.

The vision is a globally cohesive youth movement that reaches critical mass and is able to demand an alternative - such as the democratization of the United Nations or global boycott of an irresponsbile group.

Individuals and alumni from the follow groups are participating in the network - http://www.youthmovements.org

Boy Scouts, World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, YMCA, YWCA, AIESEC, Free the Children, United Universalist Youth Groups, United World Colleges, Camp Rising Sun, Seeds of Peace, Children's International Summer Villages, Legacy International, Pioneers of Change, IEARN, Common Futures Forum, Global Youth Connect, Model United Nations, Youth for Environmental Sanity, International Youth Parliament, Legion of Good Will, Asian Students Association, American Field Service, Alliance for a Responsible-Plural and United World, Bahai Youth Councils, World Assembly of Muslim Youth, Roots and Shoots, Sierra Club and many more.

And kindred non-youth specific networks: Doctors Without Borders, Peace Corps, Habitat for Humanity, Oxfam, International Indian Treaty Council, Pax Christi, Institute for Noetic Sciences, Rotary Clubs, Lions Clubs, Kiwanis Clubs, World Bank, Fellowship of Reconciliation, Inter American Development Bank, Trust for the Americas, International Youth Foundation, OneWorld.net, Institute for Global Communication, Association of Progressive Communication, Green Peace, Amnesty International, Red Cross, Ashoka, Healthy Cities International, Moral Re-Armament, Fast Company
