Welcome to the York Soaring Yahoo Group!....a place on the Internet for the membership of York Soaring Association (near Arthur, Ontario, Canada) to meet and discuss topics of interest with other members, to learn more about soaring and gliding in general, and our club in particular.

Use the calendar, Files and Databases and other tools available here to enhance communication and thus have a club away from the club.

We have a few Basic Rules for posting messages: Keep emails polite, keep on topic, address issues in discussions, no personal attacks. Commercial messages (other than personal ads pertaining to gliding and ads coming from Yahoo) are not allowed. Spamming will absolutely not be tolerated! Replies to posts go to all group members, so use personal email where appropriate.

To participate in this group: Join York Soaring Club, then get a Yahoo profile at www.yahoo.com, sign in to it, and then apply to join our Yahoo group. Be sure to fill in your real first and last names in your Yahoo profile. You can name the profile anything you want, but key in your first and last names in the 'real name' field at the very top of the public profile update screen. Your Yahoo ID can be "flyguy77' or anything else creative you like, but we need to see your 'real name' (EG: Fred Smith) in the profile even if your Yahoo ID is "fredsmith". This lets us match you to our club membership lists. Assign an email address which will get messages to you quickly. Using 'Edit my membership' you can choose your preferred method for receiving posted messages, we suggest 'Individual emails' or 'Daily digest'..
