The Asian American Book Club (AABC) is an online reading community. Members can discuss thoughts, criticisms, and insights together online. Asian-American is somewhat of a charged term. It is referred to here to mean Asians that live in a non-Asian culture.

Asian American peoples have been viewed by non-Asian cultures in somewhat distorted and unhealthy ways. Hence, identity issues can be quite challenging to say the least.

The purpose of AABC is to share ideas and insights as well as provide pointers to good reading sources. Discussions may span the gamut of human experience, philosophy, sociology, faith, politics, gender, sexuality, etc.

This group recognizes that it is the richness of all human experience that makes for great ideas. Although the topics are Asian-focused, we do not restrict the influences that come from other places. Inspiration can come from anyone, anywhere.
