YEO REUNION 2009
The reunion for the descendants of James Yeo (1765 – 1840) of
Kilkhampton and his wives, Ann Osborn and Grace Francis is held every
5 years. This will be the third one. It is based at and around Yeo
House at Green Park, Port Hill, PEI. Activities happen on the weekend
of July 24 – 26, 2009.
Friday July 24:
Early Registration - 2:00 – 4:00 pm; For those who want to study or
update the family tree.
Meet & Greet - 6:00 – 9:00 pm; Meet your cousins for the first time
or the nth time. Munchies provided.
Location for the above; Northam Community Center, Rte 132, Signs
Posted.
Saturday July 25:
Car Rally – 10:00 am; Compete with other teams discovering
points of interest and trivia around the Port Hill area. Come with a
team or be assigned to one.
Location; Meet in the parking lot of Shipbuilding Museum,
Port Hill.
Afternoon is open, but feel free to take guided tour of the
Shipbuilding Museum or Yeo House.
Relax in the big tent at any time.
Supper Time: 6:00 pm; Pig roast with all the fixin's. At Yeo
House.
Following this, simply relax, or be active at a display booth.
You may bring your Yeo memorabilia or pictures (just to show), items
to sell or whatever. Tables provided.
Story Time at dusk. Back by popular demand. Stories and ghost
tales in the kitchen at Yeo House in the dark.
Sunday July 26:
Church service 11:00 in the tent.
Lunch follows; Please bring your own.
Afternoon activities: Gab, childrens' activities, Open Mike,
James Yeo look-alike contest and much, much more.
Please note. As yet, a registration fee has not been set. It will
be minimal. We want your presence,not your money. Let us know if you
are attending, that would be very helpful.
