The Yakima Dive Club of Yakima, Washington is comprised of around 45 families that regularly dive together at sites including Puget Sound, Hood Canal and the San Juan Islands. Originally formed in the 1970s as an outlet for divers looking for buddies, the independent club now participates in two formal dive trips every year. The group meets on the second Tuesday of every month at El Porton Restaurant at 6:30pm to listen to speakers, learn about new gear and watch an occasional photography demonstration. Community-based projects for the club consist of annual pond and beach clean-ups.
