http://www.riseup.org is a reasonable alternative to yahoo.
i've always posted using my real name because i feel that if i have
something to say, i want people to know I'M saying it.
anyway, i would certainly like to know the reasons for 'game over' ...
I'm gonna spend the day looking for free message boards. I'd love to
start SCUMBLAB. You know I'd even pay fer it if it was tax deductible
so if anyone knows a place, let me know 577-3629
Despite my bitching, I appreciate this, Steve. Thanks.

It's lml here. Wow, Steve K., that was zippy. Thanks for the
temporary home. Again, I wanna thank SKB for having us over, and for
all the insight his blog provided. I hope he will post with us
whereever we end up!
Assuming that this is not the result of a computer failure or some
hacker's trick, I hope that skb sees fit to post a message here or on
k2k as to what happened.

Yeah, yahoo groups is pretty lousy, but it was the only solution that
came to mind. If anyone knows of a better free messageboard site, I
suppose we could all jump ship over to it, but I imagine in a few
days, someone will set up a new permanent home.
Glad y'all made it here, though.

Man, I hope this isn't real bad news. Ya know, the computer could
have just somehow fucked up. Like this I can't tell where my post are
even going. I don't see them registering. Well, Hang in there and we'll
be somewhere soon. Gotta blab-That's right up there with Blogging
gotta do it! SCUM
Ya best learn to live while your alive!
Last night after talking to an acquaintance I ask Mr. SKB why he
wanted to call his board First Amendment. I don't know he explained to
me no one actually had rights persay there, if they didn't like it they
could start there own page. I said I understand, thanked him for having
a medium for us to post on but still (pushed) wanted to know why the
First Amendment should be mentioned.
Oh well, I am very sorry I ever mentioned anything because I
don't think that could play a role in his decision to pull the plug,
There's now way I can Know now. I'll pick it up. It can be SCUM BLAB
Hey all, Leslie here....but I guess you might have figured that! I'm no good at
psuedonyms. It's a bummer, to be sure, but hope something else can get going,
and not on Yahoo!

Exactly. I've got lot's of server space available, but no concept of
message board software.
Are we sure that this is a legitimate shutdown and not some creative
hacking (or whatever you tech guys call it these days, Ian).

I hate Yahoo , me, I am a bit pissed (its almost as if BC "won" + NO
notice was given = rude and BC-ish)... I may just say fuck the web.
Eesh. I appreciate the gesture in setting the Yahoo group up. Maybe
give it a few days, regroup. Can someone more versed in these things
than me spell out the options in setting up another forum? Nothing
against Yahoo groups, but there are a lot of formats I like better.

I was just plain ole Gina, but now I have to use my last name.

Good to see you guys.
I hope Mr. Bubba is ok.

I've been doing that for years.
I just sent an update via The Funhouse mailing list so we should see a
