WW2-L a list for WW2 reenactors of all sides. It is a continuation of the old WW2-L list originally started by Dwight Dutton back ca. 1996. This list was on his server--www.reenactor.net (which I took over in 1998), while on reenactor.net, it was actually being run under majordomo. Dwight then moved it to Listbot.com and it stayed there for a couple of years often having over 300 messages a day--WAY TOO MANY FOR ME.
In Spring of 2000, it had gotten very big, but also VERY out of control and with Listbot's lack of real controls it was out of hand. People were unsubscribing in droves and at that point, he gave the list to me, Marsh Wise. I put daily control of it under the ever-skillful hand of Andy Zappone and then we moved it to e-Groups soon after. Alas, this was bought out by yahoo and here were are now.
Here are the basic rules:
1. No personal attacks. Disagree on a topic, but refrain from making it less civil.
2. Stay on topic. This is about WW2 and reenacting. It's not about modern politics.
3. Please remove any over abundance of forwarded information in replies.
4. Please do leave in information to which you're replying, so we can better understand what you're writing about.
5. Avoid posting to multiple lists. Many of us are on other lists, we don't need mailboxes filled up with the same message over and over again.
