Writers For America stands at the intersection of the literary arts and politics. WFA is a push back against the insulting, alarming, and destructive War on Culture launched by rightwing extremists. Literature and literacy, as with all the creative arts, are under assault in America. We must make a stand to defend our rights, reason, education, creativity, and the arts.

We are a group of free-thinking people dedicated to advocating liberal issues. We are committed to using the written word to spread a liberal, diverse yet inclusive vision of America to every community in the nation. Whether through fiction, poetry, ads, and other creative means, or merely by writing essays, articles, and letters to newspapers, journals, and magazines, we will use our literary talents to make the liberal voice heard and understood across America.

The War on Culture must end. We will write its obituary. Write on!
