Welcome to Wraithbeta, a list to link up writers and beta readers for Stargate: Atlantis fanfiction. The list is affiliated with the Wraithbait Archive but you do not have to be archived there to join the list.

This list is open to all genres and all pairings, as well as all ratings of fic. We are a slash and het tolerant list so please do not slam anyone else's fic preferences.

When posting to request a beta, please ensure that you include in the subject line the type of story it is (gen, het, slash etc) and an indication of the rating. If you are seeking a beta for an adult rated story, please make this clear. If you are not old enough to read adult rated fic, please do not volunteer to beta it.

Within the body of your request, please be clear about what you would like from a beta - whether you are simply looking for someone to proofread your story or whether you require more detailed constructive criticism, for example comments on characterisation, plot, science etc.

This is a place to find a beta rather than a place to post your unbeta'd story for comments but given the nature of the list you should anticipate getting constructive comments, both on and off list, about your story.

If you're sending comments on a story, please make sure that you stay within the bounds of constructive criticism. Flaming - attacking the author rather than discussing the author's story calmly - will not be tolerated.

In the same vein, if you're an author who has asked for opinions, please keep any hurt feelings off list. People are providing you with comments because you've asked them to, not to be mean, and tantrums about it will also not be tolerated.

If you don't want to hear opinions that might be less than favourable, it's best not to ask for opinions at all.

New members are moderated to prevent spam so please be patient as posts need to be approved.
