Founded in March 2001 by Catherine Bassompierre and Teresa Cooper-Kislik, the Women’s Professional Networking Group in Lyon (WPNG) is a multinational networking group of English-speaking professional women living in Lyon and its surrounding area.

Our goals are as follows:
* Establish a presence in Lyon of English-speaking, internationally minded, professional women;
* Network for career enhancement and personal development;
* Create a forum for sharing professional experiences;
* Attend and/or organize special events or conferences of interest to professional women;
* And of course, enable friendship and fun!

There is a monthly meeting (usually held on a Tuesday evening of each month between September and June), with the first hour being dedicated to informal networking and a light buffet snack provided by all attending members, followed by a guest speaker or a facilitated discussion.
Suggestions for a guest speaker or a discussion topic are always welcome.

Now an official French "association", the Group counts over 100 members and 20 nationalities, and is headed up by a Steering Committee of WPNG members
