its the york rite degrees that give you further<br>light in masonry.we are going
to have shriners <br>that dont have a clue what freemasonry is all <br>about!!!
When membership in an organizations starts to die
off, Money becomes the main factor. There are a lot of
Master Masons in the world that want to join the shrine
but won't take all the degrees to get there. This is
their opportunity to keep something that is about to
perish still kicking.<br><br>As for myself I am the
opposite I have every degree that you can obtain in North
America and since I am a Moor it would not make any sense
to pretend to be a Moor when I am already one by
birth and descent.<br><br>Peace and Love
Good Evening to ALL!<br>My name is James Horton.
I try to be active in my lodge as my time (family &
work) permits. I love Masonry and it has been a great 1
1/2 years of my life (raised July 99).<br>I am a
member of the Alisal Lodge #321, California. We recently
had a name change from Alisal Sequoia San Ramon #321.
We figured having the honor of having the longest
lodge name in California's jurisdiction wasn't an honor
that we liked to write (j/k).<br>Just wanted to wish
all who read this a hearty fraternal

King Solomon Lodge #584<br>I am active in York and
Scottish Rite as well as AMD. <br>I belong to a number of
appendant bodies and enjoy Masonry. It has become not a
hobby but rather a way of life. <br>I enjoy learning
more about the craft, as well as meeting and chatting
with Brothers from all over the Globe.<br>Fraternally

Our Valley (Rockville Centre) is doing the Feast
of Tishrei in a couple of weeks. It's only been done
once before (Boston) in the Northern Jurisdiction that
anyone can remember or find documentation for. I've been
heavily involved with the planning, and I'll be spending
all of this afternoon building the Sukkah
(Tabernacle). I'm planning on actually using it the first night
of the holiday, so it WILL be a fully "legal" Sukkah
by Jewish law.<br><br>Happy New Year!!<br><br>- Eric

What does everyone think of the shrine
excepting<br>master masons? - I think they are shooting
them-<br>selves in the foot!<br> i am currently finishing up my
Nights Templar<br>degrees and im thinking twice about
joining the<br>shrine.<br> Harley, Windsor Ont
Well like I said I finally have been allowed to
petition the SR and hopefully before thanksgiving will be
32* . After that I will spend more time on blue house
business and try to take over secretary responsibilites,
so that our current secretary can have some time to
attend to SR and Shrine business (paperwork).<br><br>Mac
"I see you run things differnetly there in
NY..."<br><br>Yeah; according to some, we're not doing it right --
we're too concerned about membership numbers than
membership quality, so guys get pushed right through their
degrees. It's an issue that is currently the topic of alot
of discussion in GLNY & Scottish Rite.<br><br>"I
have seen you in other clubs here and you definatly
appear to be a true and square brother."<br><br>Gee;
thanks!! :-)<br><br>- Eric "Abu Doub" Friedman<br><br>(The
"Abu Doub" is a nickname I got from some Palestinian
friends; my son's name is "Dov" [Hebrew for "Bear"], and
"Abu Doub" is Arabic for "Father of Dov.")
I see you run things differnetly there in NY Abu
Doub (Eric). I was raised Aug 21, 1999 and just became
eligible to petition the Scottish Rite side of the craft.
Here in Texas (Prince Hall masonry) we have to wait 1
year before going to any of the appendant bodies.
<br><br>Congradualtions of your swift elevations. I have seen you in
other clubs here and you definatly appear to be a true
and square brother. <br><br>Fraternally, <br><br>Bro.

Hi! I belong to Nirmanakaya Lodge U.D., A.U.M.,
and am an E.A. Our lodge has a lengthy teaching and
training program, so I'll be an E.A. for another year
before I can ask for an I. in W. Enjoying the Path,
learning much, glad and proud to have joined such an
ancient structure as Freemasonry! A treasure!<br><br>-h
"You were raised in March 2000 and you are
already a Prince of the Royal Secret? How did you manage
that feat...?"<br><br>I teach Qabalah, from the
original Hebrew sources -- not "Golden Dawn" stuff. These
guys are all over me... I've also been accepted into &
received my first 2 degrees of the Royal Arch (after
having given a lecture in the Chapter).<br><br>I
basically had to have the degrees just so I could have a
conversation without alot of awkwards silences due to the
Obligations of others. Once I was bound by the same
obligations, we could speak freely.<br><br>- Abu Doub

New to the Fraternity (Raised March 3 of this
year), I'm already AASR 32º & 4º & 5º of a Royal Arch
Chapter. I have, at least, also started in the line of my
Craft Lodge, having been installed as Senior Master of
Ceremony.<br><br>- Eric "Abu Doub" Friedman
Fraternal greetings from Friendship Lodge, # 691,
G.R.C., Province of Ontario, in Sudbury, Ontario.
Currently I am living in Calgary Alberta and am 32nd degree
Scottish Rite Mason, OES (with my bride) and petitioning
the Shrine for membership. Look forward to chatting
with you and getting to know everyone
better.<br><br>Fraternally,<br><br>Doug Mackey, M.M.<br>Calgary, AB
Greetings, everyone!<br><br>I am 36, married and
live in Nashville, Tennessee and I am interested in
becoming a freemason. This is not the first time I've said
this. In fact, several months back, I met with a local
lodge and received a petition but never sent it back
in. At the time, my wife and I were in a real
financial bind and I needed to take some time to get
settled.<br><br>In the meantime, I've suffered several major
computer crashes and have lost all of my contact
information. So... I'd like to start over again. Anyone out
there in my neck of the woods? Can anyone make any
recommendations to<br>me?<br><br>Looking forward to hearing from
some of you!<br><br>Thanks, so very much....
Fraternal greetings brethren from Sydney
Australia. I am a Past Master and will be re-installed as
Master of my Lodge on the 24th June. My Lodge, Leinster
Marine Lodge of Australia, No.2, will cellebrate it's
177th anniversary next February. Hoping to get to know
you all.<br>Wor.Bro. Ron Atkinson
