Julgran (Christmas tree, but specifying that this is a spruce, rather like
Tannenbaum),

Majstång (May Pole, maj here means not the month but the greenery, and this
is erected on Midsummer), until recently Kräftskiva (Crayfish Party, because
until a couple of years ago you could not buy or sell crayfish before a set
date in early August. Then people revelled in them, drinking a lot, singing
silly songs and generally enjoying themselves). ]

snowdrops, Snödroppe,
which is a most evocative flower in Sweden, surviving late snow falls, often
flowering close to a sunny wall while snow drifts lie dirty in shadowy
places.

And of course just now all the celebrations of students ending their
school time,
Studentexamen, which is a huge feasting where the youngsters go through town
in hired lorries or other vehicles, making lots of noise. Traditionally the
girls wear white and everybody has a white cap, Studentmössa, which could be
associated with Vitsippa, white anemone, Anemone nemorosa, which flowers at
the same time of the year.
