Discussions on the world-cruising (Note the dash differentiates this list from the spammed list) email list relate to areas of navigation, anchorages, hardware, software, communication, cruising laws, foreign contacts, provisioning, weather, vessel acquisition, registration and documentation, how-to's, and general ocean and inland cruising assistance. The purpose is to spread information that will allow cruisers, and those wanting to cruise, to find a vessel, provide a better idea of what cruising is like, and perhaps save some money or even disaster by not having to experience for themselves the errors others have committed. If you have cruising knowledge or experience, please share it. If you need cruising knowledge or experience or, just have a question, please ask.

Moderation: This list is moderated in that every application to join the list must be personally approved by one of the co-owners or moderators. All new subscribers are moderated and postings approved until we are relatively certain new subscribers are not spammers. Therefore, some delay might be experienced seeing initial postings posted to the list.

Sales: If you have some personal sailing related items such as boats, dinghys, charts, anchors, etc. that you wish to sell, you may advertise them here. However, this is a noncommerecial list. No commercial posting is allowed. Spammers will be unsubscribed and banned from the list immediately. Your respect for this limitation is appreciated.

Restrictions: Topics pertaining to religion, politics, and firearms onboard are not allowed as they tend to generate "flame wars." Those individuals starting or continuing "flame wars" of any nature will not be tolerated. Individuals who indulge in these behaviors will be warned and if the behavior continues, placed on moderation. Continued abuse of these conditions will result in the offender being unsubscribed from the list.
