This group is devoted to the discussion and appreciation of master cartoonist WALLY WOOD. Wood was the premier SF artist for EC comics on titles such as WEIRD SCIENCE, WEIRD FANTASY, WEIRD SCIENCE-FANTASY and INCREDIBLE SCIENCE FICTION. Equally brilliant at humor, Wood was a mainstay of MAD for the first twelve years of its existence. Wood's significant accomplishments include the redesign of DAREDEVIL'S costume, (Wood's costume has been the definitive one since 1965), T.H.U.N.D.E.R. AGENTS, CANNON, WITZEND (The first prozine, and a benchmark of creator independence), BUCKY RUCKUS, THE WIZARD KING, MARS ATTACKS bubble gum cards, SALLY FORTH, the OUTER SPACE SPIRIT stories with Will Eisner, and spectacular inks over Jack Kirby's pencils on SKY MASTERS OF THE SPACE FORCE and THE CHALLENGERS OF THE UNKNOWN.
