am so thrilled to have found other women who
understand how strongly I feel about this. I laughed so hard
when I read Tracy's comment (under the Membership
list) that she got more excited about hunting than
about her wedding.
On my saltwater fishing site, I
had written almost the same thing, beneath a photo of
a fishing lure, the caption reads: "My "lucky"
Diamond Jig, that caught 100 bluefish, one morning in
1980. You can see all the teeth marks in it. We encased
it in plastic resin. I still have it. Can't find my
wedding ring, but I know EXACTLY where my lucky jig is!
Finally, other women who understand!
ello. Just found this site. What a treat! I live
in northern California and have been hunting 6
years. My favorite sport is duck hunting. We're out
there at least 3 days a week from October thru January.
Also hunt blacktail and wild pig. Anyone from my area?
I would love to have an email buddy to chat with.
know exactly what you are saying. I can't talk
to anyone in my office about hunting. I live near
Ann Arbor, MI and am faced with alot of anti-hunter
sentiments. It's so nice to have a place where other women
understand!
olores. I LOVE THIS CLUB! This is so neat to be
able to have a place to talk with other women.
Many
thanks! This is my first year hunting, so I started off
hunting squirrels. I like it so much that my husband
nearly has to drag me out of the woods. On Thanksgiving
morning I will go on my first deer hunt. I'm so excited!
his is my second season bowhunting. I truly
enjoy the sport and was pleased to find this site. I
find it difficult to talk with coworkers, etc., about
my bowhunting experiences. I am criticized and told
I am cruel, so having a site such as this thrills
me as I will have the opportunity to meet others and
share my experiences. Thank you!
was very thrilled when my husband told me he
found this site. I have been searching on the net for a
site like this and have found none till now. I hunt in
washington state this is my first year. I am going on my
second year of 3-D archery shoots. I would love to hear
from anybody else in the area.
ust moved to South Carolina about 2 years ago.
Been bowhunting Deer hunting since I was about 18.
Hunted Ducks, Geese, squirrels (sp) Doves, when i was
younger at about 10. I love shooting my new Mathews. Love
shooting so much I want to get started in tournaments.
That is my real passion!!
his is my first year hunting and am wearing my
husbands camo. The features that I would like to see is
the shirts larger thru the bust and the pants to have
a higher waist. I don't know how many times out
hunting I have to stop and pull my pants up or have to
wear and uncomfortable belt. Also don't forget that
larger women hunt to and have a hard time finding
clothes that fit right.
'm delighted to be invited to this new club. You
may have seen postings from debra on women hunters'
bulletin boards. I'm a new hunter and I'm working on a
Master's Thesis on women hunters so I'm hoping to meet
women to talk to about hunting and women to teach me
about hunting.
his is great!!!A place to learn from other
fellow women hunters. Any of you hunters from South
Carolina? If ya are I would love to here from you.
I
love to bowhunt and I am wanting to get started in
tournament archery. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
was so happy to find out about this club via
Bowsite. I am a 36 y/o outdoorwoman from Michigan. I
avidly (read rabidly) hunt and fish. My first love is
bowhunting, with waterfowling and ice fishing a close second
and third. I am an IBEP instructor who teaches
archery skills to over 80 kids each summer and am
fortunate enough to live in a rural area that allows me to
hunt or fish daily. I love sharing hunting experiences
with other women and would love to participate in a
mentoring program in our state.
ell imagine my suprise while surfing for last
minute tips on whitetail deer hunting, when i stumbled
on this site. Finally, a women hunters group! I knew
i wasn't the only female hunter but sometimes it
felt like it. I hunt deer, moose and small game here
in Quebec (and areas) , Canada. Not many women
hunters that i know of. Also like trapping when i have
the time.
Looking forward to visit this site.(
only weekends as i work away from home during the week
)
hunt pheasant and quail over dogs, and also
hunt deer with a bow, muzzleloader and rifle. But not
all at once :-)
Will begin duck hunting
shortly...have been training my Labrador for 5 months. I believe
he's ready, and I know I am!
e're glad to have you here. The more people that
join us, the more interesting this club will be. Right
now I'm concentrating on finding members. I send
invitations out every evening. This morning I registered the
club with 200+ search engines. I have posted the URL
to the hunting newsgroups. SusieQ was kind enough to
post on Bowhunting.net and Bowsite. Anyone have any
other ideas?

This weekend I'll work on the
other features, and the accompanying website. Remember,
if you send me your hunting photos, I'll post them.
If you don't have a scanner, mail them to me....I'll
scan and return them. (Be sure to include your name,
address & the details about the photo.)Send me an email
for the address, please.
hank you so much for inviting me. I hunt moose,
caribou and rabbits here in Alaska. Up until this year, I
went hunting with my husband and one of his buddies.
This year I went with my sister. It was great even
though we did not come back with anything other than
rabbits and spruce hens. In a couple of weeks, we plan to
go hunting for caribou. I'll keep you informed on
how it went. Thanks again, I'll pass the word along.

hank you for joining, ladies, now may I ask a
favor? In order for this club to be interesting, we need
as many contributors as possible. Please get out
there on the net and help me recruit new members. I
KNOW there are other women out there who love hunting.
We just have to find them....
