Hi
I found this interesting article by Michele W on dyeing with indigo
http://www.handeyemagazine.com/node/58
I have always read that the first dip in an indigo/woad vat is longer (e.g. 5 minutes), then the subsequent dips shorter (30 seconds). Otherwise the spectralite removes much of the deposited indigo.
On the article above, if I have read it correctly, the author suggests the opposite, very short initial dippings and longer later dippings. Do you read the same? What is the logic in it? I am a bit puzzled.
